Muscle Maker Protein Shake

1 cup almond milk

1 cup fresh strawberries

1 cup raspberries

1 cup chopped watermelon

1 bananna

2 tbsp orange juice

1/2 tsp lemon extract

1 scoop protein powder


Blend until smooth. Drink this shake 30 minutes before your workout to allow your body to digest. Weight training results in both muscle building and breakdown, and you want to promote the first and reduce the latter as much as possible. Nutrients found in post-workout supplements help turn the body from a catabolic (muscle breakdown) state, into an anabolic (muscle growth) state.
